Founder’s note

A small crew that treats a ship date like a train you don’t miss.

I started TurboChampionForge in 2016 above a coffee roaster on Hanbury Street after a decade shipping combat and netcode at larger studios. The pitch was simple: a team small enough to answer honestly, senior enough to hit a milestone without drama.

Ten years on we are eleven people — designers, engine programmers, and two audio leads — building original titles and quietly rescuing other people’s. We do not chase headcount. We chase builds that run, load fast, and feel good in the hands.

“A ship date is a train you don’t miss.”

Passenger questions

Everything you’d ask before boarding.

Our core stack is Unreal Engine 5 and Unity, with hand-written C++ tooling where the engine falls short. We ship to PC (Steam and Epic), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and hold active devkits for all three consoles.

Anything from a three-week prototype to an eighteen-month original title. Our team of eleven is happiest on focused, mid-scope games rather than sprawling open worlds, and we will tell you honestly if a brief is a poor fit for our crew.

Prototypes are fixed price. Co-development is billed per developer-day at £520, invoiced fortnightly. Full productions are quoted per milestone with a clear deliverable and acceptance criteria attached to each, so you never pay for a milestone you cannot play.

On client work, yes — you own the IP, the source, and all delivered assets outright on final payment. We retain the right to list the title in our portfolio unless you ask us to keep it confidential, which we are happy to do.

Yes. We manage first-party submission for Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft as part of any porting or full-production contract, including TRC/XR compliance passes and the resubmission cycle if a build comes back.

The studio is at 58 Hanbury Street in Spitalfields, five minutes from Liverpool Street. We work in person Tuesday to Thursday and remote-friendly the rest of the week, and we collaborate with clients worldwide across time zones.
